After playing over 100 games in the top Finnish league, Vesa turned to Coaching at a relatively young age in 1999. He coached in top Organisations, such as IFK and Jokerit Helsinki, and also gained valuable experience as a head Coach in different Countries, such as Austria, Estonia Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Russia, Sweden, or Tunisia and Turkey, often as the head Coach for the National Team of the respective Country.
